Monday: In the selection, Jesus sent Peter and John and told them Go and make preparations for us to eat the Passover. They asked in response Where do you want us to prepare for it? Jesus answered them, As you enter the city, a man carrying a jar of water will meet you. Follow him to the house that has enters, and say to the owner of the house, the teacher asks: where is the guest room, where I may eat the Password with my disciples? He will show you a large room upstairs, all furnished. Make the preparations there. They left and found things just as Jesus had told them. So they prepared the Passover. At Passover, Jesus and his disciples had the Lord’s supper. The Lord’s Supper is a remembrance of Jesus and his blood that was shed for all.
ReplyDeleteTuesday: In the selection, Jesus was looking in the temple. He looked up and saw the rich people putting their gifts into the temple treasury. Then He saw a poor widow put in two very small copper coins. Then he said aloud, truly I tell you, this poor widow has put in more than all the others. All these rich people gave their gifts out of their wealth, however she gave out of her poverty and put in the temple treasury all she had to live on. Some of his disciples were remarking about how the temple was adorned with beautiful stones and with gifts dedicated to God. Jesus saw them looking at them and then said, What you see here, will not always be. They replied, will these things really happen and what will the signs be when these things are about to take place. Jesus replied to their answer in, Don’t be deceived, for their will be many that will come and proclaim I am he and the time is near, but do not follow them. My giving habits are caring for other people and being compassionate.
