Week 7: Friday
1 Samuel 8:1-5: In the selection, Samuel grew old. He put his sons in leadership over Israel. They were Joel and Abijah. However, they did not follow after their dad. So the people of Israel came together and said that they wanted a new king.I am tempted to be greedy. I can change by treating others the way I would want to be treated.

Week 7: Wednesday
1 Samuel 1:1-28: In the selection, Hannah was without child. She cried out to the Lord to give her a son. The Lord gave her a son. When crying out to the Lord, she promised to give him back to the Lord. A promise I have kept to the Lord is to live for him. I will always live for him.

Week 6: Friday
Ruth 2:1-23: In the selection, Ruth asked Naomi to go and pick up the left overs of grain. Naomi told her that she could go. While out in the fields, a man named Boaz noticed Ruth. He told her that he only wanted her to pick from his fields. My reputation has become an advantage when people take me as I am. Even when people don't know anything about me, they still accept me.

Week 6: Thursday
Ruth 1:1-22: In the selection, Naomi lost her husband. Ten years later, her sons died. that left her and her daughter in laws by themselves. Naomi decides to go back to her homeland. She tells her daughters in law to leave, however Ruth faithfully went with her. Difficulties effect many friendships. They can make us angry and mad while trying to be nice to that friend.

Week 6: Wednesday
Judges 16:22-31 : In this selection, Samson died. He was first put in between two pillars. He wanted revenge on the Philistines. He asked God to give him back his strength. After he regained his strength, he pushed the two pillars aside and died with the Philistines. I understand God's patience very well. He waits for us to invite him in our hearts even when we have refused several times.
