Week 2: Wednesday

2 Samuel 14: 1-33: In this selection, Joab made a woman go to the king.She was to tell him about how she lost her husband and son. She also told of how she was about to lose her other son.The king told her that he would make a law to help her.After he did, she asked him why was he doing something like that to the people of God?!!!! When there is family conflict, I usually deal with it calmly. Except for Jasmine, because I really like getting on her nerves. We fight alot but in the end, it's all good! :)

Week 2: Tuesday

 2 Sam. 12: 13-25: In this selection, David had siined in the eyes of the Lord. He asked God to spare his life. God granted his wish; however, he did not spare life of his child. Soon after, the baby came ill. Seven days later the baby died. During those days, David stayed on the floor crying out to God. When I ask for God's forgivness, I am broken. I was sorry for what I had done and need God's forgivness.

Week 2: Wednesday

2 Samuel 5: 1-12: In the selection, God helped David take over the Jebusites. They said it would be impossible but he did it anyway. He took the fort and called it the City of David.
A Way that you can become more pleasing to God is giving him the praise and the glory in everything. We should always give thanks to the one who made us to be successful.

Week 2: Monday

 1 Samuel 25: 1-42: In the selection, David told his servants to go and ask Nabel for some food. Nabel, however, was a foolish man and did not give them anything. David, in result of Nabel's decision, got his army and headed for Nabel and the people in the land in which he lived to kill them. Abigail, Nabel's wife, quickly got up after hearing what was happening and got everything David had requested. In the end, Abigail became David's wife and Nabel died.

Week 7: Friday

1 Samuel 8:1-5:  In the selection, Samuel grew old. He put his sons in leadership over Israel. They were Joel and Abijah. However, they did not follow after their dad. So the people of Israel came together and said that they wanted a new king.I am tempted to be greedy. I can change by treating others the way I would want to be treated.

Week 7: Wednesday

  1 Samuel 1:1-28:  In the selection, Hannah was without child. She cried out to the Lord to give her a son. The Lord gave her a son. When crying out to the Lord, she promised to give him back to the Lord. A promise I have kept to the Lord is to live for him. I will always live for him.

Week 6: Friday

Ruth 2:1-23: In the selection, Ruth asked Naomi to go and pick up the left overs of grain. Naomi told her that she could go. While out in the fields, a man named Boaz noticed Ruth. He told her that he only wanted her to pick from his fields. My reputation has become an advantage when people take me as I am. Even when people don't know anything about me, they still accept me.
